Located on Route 73, approximately 4 miles from the Middletown Mall south of Fairmont. Cornerstone Pastoral Counseling Center is immediately beside the convenience store in Boothsville.
From I-79 traveling south, take the South Fairmont exit 132. Turn left at the light and stay in the left lane.
Pass through two more traffic lights (all short distances from each other).
At the third light, turn right on to Old Route 73.
Travel approximately 4 miles to Boothsville.
From I-79 traveling north, take the Saltwell exit 125. Travel approximately 6 miles to Boothsville.
Pre-Marriage and Marriage Counseling
Pre-Marriage and Marriage Counseling is available either as individual couples or as part of the Foundations Group Counseling Program and the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) curriculum (Pre-Marriage or Marriage).
Foundations Marriage Enrichment Program
Developed by Dr. Richards, this group program allows married couples and domestic partners to join in group counseling using a prescribed curriculum of 4 sessions with an optional supplemental session for those participants who are in a second or greater marriage. Gorrman an/or APS assessment fees may apply.
Foundations Pre-Marriage Enrichment Program
Developed by Dr. Richards, this group or individual program allows couples preparing for marriage to assess potential challenges and opportunities using a prescribed curriculum of 4 sessions with an optional supplemental session for those participants who are preparing for or are in a second or greater marriage. SYMBIS and/or APS assessment fees do apply.
Crisis Marriage Intervention Retreat
Based on the Gottman method of marriage crisis intervention, this retreat is designed as an intensive intervention for those in marriage crisis. Fees to cover costs apply depending upon the venue, but are negotiated and/or published in advance.
This workshop and/or retreat offering is designed to strengthen healthy marriages and fortify existing positive marriage patterns or to create new ones. This curriculum is based on the Gottman Art and Science of Love curriculum.
Life Coaching and Pastoral Counseling
We provide life coaching and pastoral counseling for those who feel stuck and seek new direction in life, career, or relationships.
Temperament Analysis and Counseling
Dr. Richards is a certified temperament analyst and can provide counseling based on one's specific in-born temperament. APS assessment fees will apply.
Cornerstone Ministries provides the Celebrate Recovery ministry and groups for those dealing with hurts, hang-ups, and habits. This Christian support and recovery program seeks to support participants in recovery from addictions, compulsions, and various life struggles.
Grief Support Group
Utilizing the Grief Recovery Method developed by John W. James, this evidence-based program offers both one-on-one and group grief support options for those who have experienced loss. Following an 8-week program, groups have the option of continuing on for social and spiritual support.
Peace after Divorce Support Group
Utilizing the Peace After Divorce program developed by Renee Smith Ettline, this 8-week program explores divorce recovery and support from a Christian perspective. The goal of the program is to foster healing, empowerment, and inspiration for a new future.
Organizational Conflict Resolution
We provide organization conflict resolution services for churches and other institutions. Fees and/or donations are negotiated in advance.
Clergy Rx provides supportive counseling and leadership incubators specifically geared toward clergy and other pastoral leaders.
Transformation Prayer Ministry
We offer Transformation Prayer Ministry, an inner and spiritual healing method of prayer for those who desire inner and spiritual breakthrough from past hurts and limitations.
We provide spiritual direction for those wanting to explore one's interior life/movements and spiritual journey. Dr. Richards received training from WV Institute for Spirituality in Charleston, West Virginia, and has extensive experience in developmental psychology.
